I love the term “escape velocity, particularly when it comes to creating Built to Last companies. The formal definition of “escape velocity” is the speed at which any object can break free from the gravitational pull of a central mass. In business it’s my favorite way to say that nothing can stop you. It solidifies your company’s place in history as a disruptor and interrupter of the status quo. This has encouraged me to write a 7-part series on how to achieve escape velocity.
