Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from one of Silicon Valley’s most established entrepreneurs and leaders. As Chief of Staff to DocuSign’s Chairman, Keith Krach, so many concepts have crystallized for me through our work together: discipline, strategy, leadership, as well as how business success can be achieved alongside building a strong family and lifelong friendships.
On our last trip to Japan, it hit me that along with the countless hours of work that comes with the turf, it is also a tremendous opportunity to learn from someone with battle scars to back up the wisdom from a legendary business career. I’ve learned that his experience, those scars, and the pattern recognition that come from them, has been invaluable in the strategic thinking that goes into scaling a company and taking it global. I’ve had many friends ask me to describe what this time in my career has been like and to share some of my favorite pearls of wisdom captured during the journey. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing seven insights from our recent trips to Japan.
