China Challenge Testimony

Under Secretary of State, Keith Krach, testifies before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Security. Krach describes bilateral meetings with foreign counterparts: "I’ll say, ‘How’s your relationship going with China? What’s it like?’ And they say, ‘Well they’re important you know — they’re a big trading partner.’ Then they lean and look both ways and say, ‘But we don’t trust them.’ According to Krach, American values form the basis of trust. And you do business with people that you trust.
